What we do
We run camps where children meet Jesus and learn to love sport.
Everything we do is built around one idea: go to where the children already are, give them something genuinely good, and tell them the story while you have their attention.
Our flagship programme
Let’s Go Camp
A multi-day camp held on a Taiwanese school campus, run entirely in English by native English-speaking teams. Children play sport, learn English, hear Bible stories and worship together.
It is open to any elementary-age child — we do not screen for English level, academic record, church background or family income. Many of the children who come have never set foot in a church and have never heard the name of Jesus spoken by someone who believes it.
Inside a camp day
Four things happen every day
Sport
Basketball, football, running and team games on the school field. Coaching is real, and every instruction is given in English.
English lessons
Taught by native speakers and built on Scripture. The vocabulary, the reading, the conversation practice — the material is the Bible.
Storytelling
The gospel told as story, in language a child can hold on to. For most of them it is the first time they have heard any of it.
Worship
Singing together, every day. Children who arrived on Monday not knowing a word are singing by the end of the week.
Who runs it
Teams from abroad, churches at home
Camps are staffed by native English-speaking teams who coach, teach and tell the stories. That is what makes the English genuine and what makes parents say yes.
The Sowers Movement is an independent Taiwanese association — we are not under any single denomination — and we work alongside local churches across Taiwan. That matters, because when a camp ends, the local church is who remains. We are there for a week. They are there for the child’s life.
